5 Worst Spring Cleaning Mistakes We All Make
With all the cleaning we’ve been doing lately, we think spring is the perfect time to refresh your routine. Here are 5 mistakes to avoid for a deep down clean clean you’ll feel great about.
- Starting from the bottom
Started from the bottom now we’re here...making a mess on our clean floor. Doing your dusting last? HOLD UP! Start from the top and work your way down.
- Skipping the nooks and crannies
Is everything you’re seeing spick and span? Don’t stop just yet! Those nooks and crannies between walls and baseboards need some attention, too!
Pro tip: Don’t forget your machines too! Give the dishwasher and washing machine some TLC at least once a month.
- Reaching for the bleach
We hate to break it to you, but conventional cleaners like bleach leave behind residue AFTER you clean. So, give grandma’s bleach the boot (and the rest of the Haz Pack) and switch to safer — and more powerful — ingredients like citric acid.
- Trying to do it all
We’re sure you’ve done some amazing things, but you STILL don’t have to finish it all in one day! Plus don’t forget to put those kids to work too!
- Skipping out on the jams
If you treat spring cleaning as a chore, then it becomes a bore. Here’s a tip: turn up the tunes and move to the groove. We’ve started you off with our own spring cleaning playlists. If you don’t want to put your kids in earmuffs it’s best to stick to the Clean Cut but if you’re cleaning solo treat yourself to some For Mom Only tunes!
